Cycle How steroids ruined bodybuilding for me, 20 week cycle report self. It all began when I was 12 years old. I was chubby, and dreamt of having a sixpack. I began lifting weights, with horrible form though, and I actually saw little progress, but keep in mind I had no idea how to diet. I trained on and off, and when I was 17, I began training seriously.
It had become so much more: I was still a geek at heart, not athletic in any way whatsoever, but I was determined, and oh boy, bodybuilding has been something that has affected my life tremendously.
It all began with the wish of having a six pack, and so, I began training abs every day. Later, it evolved to creating a proper training regime, a proper split. I slowly learned about bulking and cutting, and I finally discovered what I needed to do to reach my goals keep in mind, my goals were very relative, they have changed extremely much. I began counting calories, did a bulk and then cut down afterwards. I still looked pretty untrained. I knew how to diet, but bulking was still a tough one for me, I began doing sports and actually got picked out to a high level team, we were running many hours per week, and it raised my TDEE.
I knew that if I began bulking, I would lose a bit of agility not sure what it is called, English is my third language.. So for a time, I did a recomp instead of bulking, with studying hours a day for school, friends and sports, I downprioritized bulking, still worked out everyday, I loved the feeling that bodybuilding gave me, it transformed my life: I did pretty badly in school in the beginning, and now I am a straight A student looking to be pre-med.
I am extremely ambitious and goal-oriented. I still trained, and I gained a bit more mass through a small recomp, but I was still nowhere near my goal. I began studying steroids, and oh boy I was in for a change, I had a lot of prejudices, and the info I read was just mindblowing. I would like to think that it was both good and bad for me to read about steroids, on one hand, It showed me the truth about it, but on the other, it persuaded me to use as I knew it could be done safely.
I started thinking about doing a cycle, but was nowhere near ready to take the plunge, but finally I ordered and reality hit me: I could already feel the effects in the first week, my body was as a sponge, and every calorie I threw in it were used to build muscle.
I packed 10 lbs in the first couple of weeks, mostly water weight, but holy the effects… I could barely walk to school, my calves were almost cramping on the way. My tounge felt weird, as if it was stronger, and I got the first real side effect that worried me: My vision got worse, probably due to high er BP. I was still not convinced that the compliments I got was due to me getting bigger, after all, they were from my friends, but it got to the point where I was tired of them: Sure, in the beginning I loved the compliments, but later on, many people began asking if I was using, guys began being envious.
The mental aspects were a god damn roller coaster, I am almost in week 2 of PCT now 4 weeks since last pin , and I think that it is safe to say that low estro is hell of a lot worse than doing PCT. I took nolva for gyno in week 3 of my cycle, and it almost ruined my vision, and the brain fog was unbearable. A very successful cycle, the goal was to gain pure mass, and I went from lbs to lbs. I know that I do not look very big, and I apologize for the bad pictures, but I never thought I would do a cycle report, however, you guys are like my bro-family.
Nonetheless, I am extremely happy with the results, and after all I am still only 19, got a hell of a lot time to achieve goals.
Why did I then write that it destroyed bodybuilding for me? Well, yes it was over exaggeration click-bait lol , but it still did to a certain degree: Before the cycle, working out was for my mental health, it made me think clearly. I no longer have motivation, how can I get above lbs as a natty? In a perfect world, I should have waited till I was 25 years old, and thus I would have more experience, yada yada: I could run a 10k before the cycle, I can barely run 3k now, bulking so hard and gaining the weight was also very hard on my knees.
But I wanted to see how a cycle feelt like and oh boy I did. What the future has to offer, is sure going to be interesting. I do not regret anything, the cycle changed my life, but how this is going to affect me later on in life, is a question I am curious to see the answer to. I've only scimmed through your post, but sacrificing your ability to run 10k and be rewarded with not looking like an altar boy anymore seems like a good deal.
Your body will eventually get used to your new weight and the sides like high HR and hurting knees will subside. Be aware that there's only one first cycle. Nothing else will feel as good and you will never pack on mass as easily.
Enjoy the gains and planning your next cycle. Welcome to the family. Agree on all points, but nonetheless, it was a drawback. People looked at me and wondered why I couldn't run anymore, my gym teacher was amazed that I couldn't do more than 20 push ups, they expected me to be a super-athlete due to my physique. But hopefully it will get better. My knee is already much better and I can almost run normally again, I think in months I will be up to my old pace, which is indeed a good deal yes.
Funny you say that, I feel exactly as if people started treating me as an "adult" after my cycle. I am pretty intelligent, but being skinny just gives a bad impression to people, you seem like a kid with a winey voice.
Now, people respect my opinions. I find it insane, nothing really about my intellect has changed, and yet they treat me a worlds of difference.
Ya I noticed after my first cycle or two and I blew up I was receiving much different attention. They didn't take me seriously until I had some gains. I have to admit, the bigger I got the less athletic I've become. I won't be any good at any sport - but I kinda look like I lift, so it's something. You'll have to decide eventually if you're going for mass - which will cost a great amount of functionality or be more athletic.
Either way, steroids will help. We've all been there. Wait till you try tren. Your face will be leaner and more mature. Girls will get wet when you smile and the effect you described will be much more present. I feel the same, I was more athletic when I weighed lbs than now.
